The Easter Bunny is on a mission this year with a plethora of egg hunts planned throughout the city. This year, a total of 13 Easter egg hunts are set to take place in various locations throughout the Custer County area gearing up for a fun-filled weekend of Easter egg hunts and festivities.

Starting off the weekend on Saturday, March 23, the Hunters for Youth Loup Valley Chapter will be hosting their annual Easter Egg Hunt at the Broken Bow Soccer Field at 10 a.m.. Not too far away in Arnold, the City Park will be the site of their Easter Egg Hunt at 11 a.m.. Participants are encouraged to donate eggs back to be used for next year’s hunt.

Later in the day, Litchfield FBLA will be hosting their Easter Egg Hunt at the Litchfield Football Field at 4:30 p.m..

On Sunday, March 24, Cozad will be hosting their Easter Egg Hunt at Veterans Memorial Park starting at 2 p.m., with age groups ranging from 1 year old to 5th grade students. In Mason City, the Palm Sunday Pancake Dinner will begin at 11 a.m. and will offer a delicious meal followed by an exciting egg hunt at 1 p.m..

Meanwhile, Brookestone View in Broken Bow will be hosting their event on Tuesday, March 26, where participants can meet the Easter bunny and hop down the bunny trail from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m..

For those looking for a unique experience, the Glow in the Dark Storytime and Easter Egg Hunt at the Broken Bow Library on Thursday, March 28, promises an exciting evening for children of all ages. The event will kick off at 4 p.m. for children ages 0-4, and at 7 p.m. for those aged 5 and up.

As the weekend approaches, there will be even more opportunities to enjoy Easter egg hunts throughout the area. The Broken Bow Square will host an Easter Egg Hunt on March 29 at 1:30 p.m. for children up to 12 years old.

The following day, on Saturday, March 30, the Loup City Chamber Easter Egg Hunt will take place at the Sherman County Courthouse Lawn at 11 a.m. for children ages 0-9. Participants can also meet the Easter bunny at 10:45a.m. The Community Easter Egg Hunt will take place in Ansley Park at 2:30 p.m., promising a load of candy and prizes for all who attend.

Other Easter Egg Hunts happening on March 30 include the Easter Candy Hunt at Morgan Park, the Sumner Commercial Club Easter Egg Hunt at Sumner Park and the Sargent Chamber of Commerce Easter Egg Hunt at Sargent City Park.

With so many Easter egg hunts to choose from, there’s no doubt that the Custer County area is the place to be this Easter weekend. Whether you’re looking for a traditional hunt or a unique experience, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. So gather your baskets, put on your bunny ears and join in the fun as we celebrate Easter in style.
