OCONTO, NE – A driver was transported via helicopter as a result of a single vehicle accident south of Oconto Thursday evening according to the Custer County Sheriff’s Office.
Luis Armando Palux Chay, age 22 of Lexington was driving a Honda Civic south on Highway 21 when he left the roadway to the right. The Civic collided with the ditch, rolling over. Chay was ejected from the vehicle and landed nearly 20 feet north of the vehicle. He was transported by EMS air to Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney with serious injuries.
The crash is still under investigation.
