BROKEN BOW – The Custer County District Court heard two criminal cases Thursday morning. Both were sentencings.
Branden J. Miller, 30 of Columbus, appeared this month after having had his post-release supervision revocation sentencing continued. Miller was sentenced to 89 days in jail with credit for 89 days served.
Lanna R. Martinez-Ward, 47 of Broken Bow, appeared for a hearing to withdraw a plea made to the court the previous month. In March, Martinez-Ward withdrew a guilty plea and denied an agreement with the state. This month, Martinez-Ward opted to proceed to sentencing in her case, and was, through joint recommendation, sentenced to 4 years’ probation.
