BROKEN BOW – The Custer County District Court heard 4 cases on Thursday, all in the morning, and all of which were returning.
Wesley M. Kraft, 25 of North Platte, returned to court with a plea agreement; in exchange for a dismissal of 3 charges, he would plead guilty to possession of a stolen firearm, a Class IIA felony. His case is set for sentencing on December 1.
Acacia J. Lash, 35 of Broken Bow, entered a plea of not guilty to a charge of 3rd-degree assault on a healthcare professional during duty, a Class IIIA felony. Her case will move to a jury trial on February 6 of 2023.
Mirissa Chitty, 25 of Litchfield, pled guilty to one count of possession of a controlled substance, specifically methamphetamine, a Class IVA felony. As part of her guilty plea, she was admitted into problem-solving court; her sentencing will be deferred until the completion of that program.
Finally, Wilson D. Baker, 29 of Broken Bow, reached a plea agreement with the court, wherein he would plead no contest to one charge of terroristic threats, a Class IIIA felony, and another charge would be dismissed. In accordance with that agreement, he withdrew his previous plea of not guilty, and his case moved to sentencing on December 1.
