District Court Recap: December 1

BROKEN BOW – The Custer County District Court heard 6 cases Thursday morning.

Christopher E. Muggy, 49, did not appear in court to face allegations of terroristic threats, a Class IIIA felony; though a plea agreement was reached in his case. In exchange for paying all court costs, Muggy would have his case dismissed.

Jill L. Janssen, 59 of Grand Island, was sentenced to 180 days in jail for violating her probation with credit for 105 days served. Additionally, she will undergo 3 months of post-release supervision.

Wilson D. Baker, 29 of Broken Bow, was sentenced to 3-year probation after entering a plea of no contest to an allegation of making terroristic threats, a Class IIIA felony.

Tanner B. Bowers, 32 of Arnold, was terminated from problem-solving court for an underlying charge of alleged burglary, a Class IIA felony, to which Bowers admitted. His sentencing is scheduled for January 19.

Dominique Ducote, 49 of Grand Island, failed to appear in court, and a bench warrant was issued for her appearance. Ducote is facing an alleged theft by unlawful taking charge, a Class IIA felony.

Keile S. Jones (Charles), 33 of Broken Bow, admitted to violating her probation; her sentencing is scheduled for January 5.
