BROKEN BOW – Custer County District Court held one sentencing on Thursday. Sabri Tirkash, 58 of Schuyler plead guilty to Count II, driving under the influence of alcohol and causing serious bodily injury, a Class III A felony on October 26, 2023.
The charges stem from an incident that occurred on or about June 26, 2023, in Custer County. Tirkash operated a vehicle on a public street or highway while under the influence and caused serious bodily injury to another person.
Judge Noakes sentenced Tirkash on Thursday to serve four years of supervised probation and a 180-day license revocation.
Tirkash was also ordered to serve three 30-day jail sentences the first beginning June 23, 2024, the second beginning June 23, 2025, and the third beginning June 23, 2026. Those jail sentences are eligible to be waived upon the request of a probation officer if Tirkash follows all the conditions of probation.
