District Court Continues Three on Thursday

BROKEN BOW – The Custer County District Court heard three cases on Thursday, August 18, all of which were violations of probation, and all of which were continued.

Keile Jones, 33 of Broken Bow, was in court for violating her initial probation sentence of 5 years. The court and defendant came to an agreement which puts a hearing 45 days out, on October 6. Jones is serving probation in accordance with a 2015 conviction of driving under the influence of alcohol resulting in serious bodily injury, a Class IIIA felony.

Jill Janssen, 59 of Grand Island, failed to appear for her hearing. Judge Karen Noakes issued a bench warrant for Janssen, citing a previously served in-person summons to appear. Janssen is on probation as part of a 2018 no contest plea of theft from the Pump & Pantry, a Class IV felony.

Stephen Thomas, 35 of unknown residence, had his probation violation case continued until September 1, when he is slated to appear again.
