SARGENT – The Custer County Sheriff’s Office has released information about a fatal UTV accident that took place earlier this month east of Sargent.
According to the accident report, Willam Grant of Sargent was operating a Polaris Ranger UTV when it left Airport Road west of Road 455 just before midnight on July 8. When Grant attempted to correct the vehicle back onto the road, tall grass pulled it back into the ditch causing it to roll once and land on its right side.
Grant was transported by Sargent Ambulance Service to Melham Medical Center in Broken bow where he was pronounced dead. There were no other occupants in the UTV.
