The deadline to be a 2026 Nebraska Passport ambassador is here. Applications to be a stop on next year’s tourism project are only being accepted through October 31, 2025.
Any Nebraska destination is welcome to apply. No charge is involved with being a stop in the program, which is funded through Nebraska Tourism.
Benefits of being a stop include several thousand additional visitors, increases in sales or donations, increases in awareness, and local and statewide publicity. Many passport travelers have mentioned that they regularly return back to their favorite destinations from years past.
Destination variety, geographical diversity, and rotation are all considered when Passport stops are chosen. Often, over 350 applications are received for 70 passport stops. Those who aren’t chosen are encouraged to apply again in future years.
Prior area stops have included BrewBakers Coffee House & Gifts of Arnold, the Sandhills Journey National Scenic Byway Visitor Center in Broken Bow, Merna’s The Secret Garden, the Oconto Barn Quilt Trail & Charles Horn Sculpture Garden and The Rescue Bar & Grill in Sargent.
