Custer County Salvation Army presents $8,000 to area organizations

The Custer County Salvation Army welcomed representatives from across the county to their meeting on Wednesday for check presentations.

The room was filled with smiles and excitement. Several board members remarked that their excitement existed because it was the first time in over two years that they were able to do check presentations in person.

The communities of Arnold, Callaway, and Sargent each received checks for $750 to assist their food pantry programs.

Checks totaling $4,000 were presented to the communities of Ansley, Arnold, Callaway, Broken Bow, and Sargent to support swimming lesson programs.

The Ministerial Association also received $1,750 which will go towards their emergency fund for housing.
