Custer County Reads welcomes Kassandra Montag – Author of After the Flood

Kassandra Montag will be at the Broken Bow Public Library at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 12th to discuss her book, After the Flood, this year’s Custer County Reads selection. Montag grew up in rural Nebraska and now lives in Omaha with her husband and two sons. She holds a master’s degree in English Literature and her award-winning poetry and short fiction has appeared in journals and anthologies, including Midwestern Gothic, Nebraska Poetry, Prairie Schooner, and Mystery Weekly Magazine. She is the author of a poetry collection (Chorus of the Underground Sea) and two novels (After the Flood and Those Who Return). After the Flood was a Chicago Tribune Best Book of the Year pick, the 2020 Omaha Reads selection, and has been optioned for film.
