Custer County Primary Non-Incumbent Filing Deadline Ended March 1st

A few offices will have a primary election on May 14 following the non-incumbent filing deadline on March 1. The Custer County Board of Supervisors has three seats up for re-election in 2024, but only two of those seats will go a primary vote. In District 2, incumbent Tammy Kleeb will be challenged by Corey Clay. District 4 will also have a primary election with Maureen Hunsberger, James Markham, Janet Hyslop Dobesh, and Ray L. Hunt all filing as Republicans. No Democrats filed for that seat and incumbent Dwain Bryner chose not to run.

As of 3/4/2024, Custer County filings are as follows (incumbents are in BOLD, primary elections are underlined, and filings for other offices automatically advance to the general election in November):

Incumbents for townships, villages, & public power districts under $40 million have until July 15th, and non-incumbents have until August 1st to file. In addition, candidates who would like to file as a write-in candidate, are required to file an affidavit in order for the votes to be counted.
