The Custer County Foundation is reminding local nonprofit organizations that the next deadline to apply for grant funding is October 31.
The Foundation provides grants to organizations working to improve quality of life in communities throughout Custer County. Funding is typically awarded for projects and programs involving areas such as civic activities, culture, health, education, the environment and social services.
Last year, the Foundation awarded more than $154,400 in grants to 34 Custer County nonprofit organizations.
Grant applications are accepted throughout the year and are considered following two annual application deadlines. Besides the upcoming October 31 deadline, the next will be April 30, 2027.
Those wanting to access an application can do so through the ‘grants’ section of the Custer County Foundation website or by stopping by the foundation office in Broken Bow to pick one up.
The foundation says grant guidelines were recently updated and that applicants should review all requirements before submission to avoid their applications not being reviewed because they’re incomplete.
Applications can be dropped off at the foundation office during regular business hours Monday through Friday 8 AM to 4 PM or through the mail (postmarked by October 31).
Questions can be directed to 308-872-2232 or [email protected].
