The 2024 Custer County Fair has many events going on today, July 29.
The first event, starting at 8 a.m. are the 4-H horses with the categories Showmanship, Halter, Adaptive Horsemanship, Snaffle Bit, Western Pleasure, Western Horsemanship, Advanced Horsemanship, Trail Class, English Pleasure, English Equestrian, and Hunter Hack.
Also at 8 a.m. is the 4-H Swine, Market and Breeding, followed by FFA Swine judging. 4-H Bucket Calf Interviews begin at 8 as well. Then at 11 is the 4-H Bucket Calf Parade.
At 11:30 is the Beef Carcass Interview Judging. At 1 p.m. is FFA Sheep Judging followed by 4-H Sheep judging at 2:30.
From 5 to 10 p.m. commercial booths will be open under the grandstand. From 5:30 to 7 is the Free Pit BBQ and to wrap it up is the Custer County Bull Riding Classic at 7:30 p.m.
