Broken Bow, Nebraska – The Custer County Ag Society held its 8th Annual Winter Ball on
Saturday, January 27. Around 260 guests gathered at the One Box Convention Center to celebrate a great year and raised around $31,000 for fairground improvements.

The night started with a social hour, bidding on silent auction items, purchasing tickets for the gun raffle, and splitting the pot. Then board president Casey Cooksley announced new staff members Ben McCaslin – Manager, Hannah Pearson – Administrator, and Bill Comacho & Hesston Stapel as Maintenance. The Friend of the Fair was awarded to Justin & Jeana Storms. Casey Cooksley – President, Rodney Lamb – Vice President, Blair Hartman – Secretary, Ashley Garrelts – Treasurer (not able to attend), Marla Stallbaumer, Bonnie Winters, Steve Horn (not able to attend), Charmayne Popp, Shane Ryan where then announce as the 2023 Fair Board. A live auction was then held to raise money for future projects at the fairgrounds such as building a new livestock open-air barn. Tim Zach then took the stage and ended the night with entertainment and a dance.

The Custer County Fairgrounds is in central Nebraska and hosts events from the Mid-States
Finals Rodeo to the Custer County Fair. The fairgrounds work to serve as a central location for organizations and people to host their events in the state of Nebraska.
