Custer Care Tractor Ride Loops Around Oconto Once More

BROKEN BOW – The ninth annual Custer County Tractor Ride will be rumbling once again through southern Custer County on Friday, July 22.

The ride will begin with an amassing of tractors and breakfast at the Oconto Community Hall at 7 a.m. The tractors will then depart from the Oconto ballfield around 8, returning to the Oconto ballfield around 4:30 p.m.

Tractors will complete the fifty-five-mile loop at roughly ten miles per hour. The ride goes to benefit several Custer Care programs, including transportation for clients to and from medical appointments, home care, day services such as health activities and socialization, family support groups, and assisted living.

Those interested in registering a tractor for the ride, or helping to sponsor the event, should do so by July 20. Registration includes the aforementioned breakfast, a noon lunch, a commemorative gift, and a magnet for the participating tractor.

The fee to register a tractor is $50, and $60 after the July 20 deadline. Sponsorship donations range from $50 to $150 and above, with each tier receiving various gifts in exchange for the donation.
