BROKEN BOW – As part of Custer Public Power District’s continued commitment to provide the most reliable service possible, we will be contracting with SBS Inspection, Inc. to inspect approximately 7,000 distribution poles. It has been proven that this pole-treating program has helped to find the weak links in the District’s distribution & transmission system, which has resulted in fewer outages.
They will be testing distribution poles out of the Anselmo and Broken Bow Substation during the months of August through September. This will include the Village of Anselmo and the Village of Berwyn.
Customers may notice the service vehicles of the contractors, including pickups or ATVs, in pastures and fields as they treat and inspect poles. The workmen have been instructed to respect the customer’s property and fences and to re-close gates when they find them closed.
