Cowboy Poetry & Music Gathering in Comstock on November 4

The 18th Annual Cowboy Poetry & Music Gathering will be taking place in Comstock on Saturday, November 4 at the Wescott Baptist Church starting at 1 p.m. and will continue for the duration of the evening.

Following the entertaining afternoon of Western Lore and Legend, a donation-priced supper will be served by the church youth at 5:45.

The evening performances will start at 7 p.m. and feature Greg Hager of Valley City, North Dakota, The Ramblin’ Rangers of Hot Springs, South Dakota, R.P. Smith of Broken Bow, NE, Marty Blocker of Henderson, NE and Jan Schiferl of Fordyce, NE. Among other poets and musicians will be Pat Mead of Milo, Iowa, Bill Potter of Kearney, Nebraska, and Don Schauda of Comstock, Nebraska.

To close out the day’s activities, there will be a spirited Pie Auction.

There no is admission charge for this event. All proceeds from the supper and auction will benefit the Youth Group’s Samaritan’s Purse Shoebox project.

Again, the Cowboy Poetry & Music Gathering will take place at the Wescott Baptist Church starting at 1p.m. on Saturday November 4. There will be a donated-priced supper at 5:54. Everyone is welcome to attend.
