BROKEN BOW – The Custer County Board of Supervisors will hold its first July meeting on the top floor of the Custer County Courthouse on Tuesday, July 11 at 9 a.m.
In addition to the minutes, mail, and committee reports, the board will evaluate the middle-of-month claims, and then spend the majority of its morning in the Board of Equalization. The supervisors will hold destroyed real property hearings for 8 disaster-affected individuals or entities.
After a break, the board will discuss applications to cross the county right-of-way and consider a letter of engagement for audit with state auditors. A public hearing will be held on a conditional use permit for a cell tower, and an appointment to the county’s Planning Commission Board will be considered.
The supervisors will also consider authorizing the board chairman to sign two resolutions regarding the upcoming Sandhills Open Road Challenge: Resolution #15-2023 and #16-2023, which would close the Arnold-Dunning Road and Callaway-Cozad Road for the race, respectfully.
The board will also discuss the monthly fee reports for June and set the value on empty county lots which the supervisors have considered selling for a month. After a break, the board will then hold budget reviews with about 15 county offices. As always, the meeting is open to the public; a full agenda is attached.
