County Board of Supervisors Recap 10/10

The Custer County Board of Supervisors held their regularly scheduled meeting Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. All board members were present.

The meeting was called to order and minutes from the last meeting, mail, and committee reports were reviewed.

A sale date and method of sale were set for the Lot 3 Pamida Addition. The time and date that bids can be received by is November 14 at 10:15 a.m.  The motion is to take closed bids, by 10:15 a.m. on November 14th. Fair market value is set at $96,712.00. One board member, Charles Blowers of District 5, abstained from approving this motion.

A public hearing date was set for Res. #27R-2023, Road #478, for November 14 at 10:00 a.m. A petition has been filed requesting road #478 to be vacated. All objections must be filed on or before 10:00 a.m. on November 14 to the Custer County Clerk’s Office.

Custer County Emergency Manager Mark Rempe appeared before the board regarding the Government Emergency Fund for equipment costs regarding the Cooksley Fire updates. Currently, he is also working with the Anslemo Fire Chiefs on getting the allowable fuel refunded figured and submitted to the state for reimbursement. They will potentially be looking at another $30-35,000.

The board asked for clarification from Custer County Attorney Steve Bowers regarding payroll claims submitted for employees in his office. This will be discussed further in a future meeting.
