BROKEN BOW–C is for Cookie, that’s good enough for me! The Broken Bow Public Library hosted its annual Great Cookie Contest which featured delicious homemade cookies made by some of the finest bakers in town! A panel of judges graded the cookies on Texture, Taste, Richness, and Eye-Appeal.

The contest was held on Tuesday night and the entries included pumpkin crinkle cookies, chocolate malted cookies, peanut butter cookies dipped in chocolate, and Rice Krispies & oatmeal cookies.

Allison Veldhuizen was named the winner with her pumpkin crinkle cookies

“It feels great! I feel validated,” Veldhuizen joked. “No I’m just kidding! I just like baking and it makes me happy so it’s nice!”

Cookie judges included KCNI/KBBN’s Emily Barnett, BB City Administrator Dan Knoell, and North Park Elementary Counselor Angie Miller.
