CNMC Holding Three Drive-By Flu Shot Clinics in October

BROKEN BOW – The Central Nebraska Medical Clinic (CNMC) in Broken Bow will be inaugurating the first month of fall with three Mondays of flu shots, helping residents bolster their systems for the upcoming cold season.

The clinic will open its employee parking lot (north from Memorial Drive and east of the hospital’s helipad) on October 3, 10, and 17 to give flu shots to all those willing to receive them. October 3 and October 17 are morning clinics, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and October 10 is a clinic in the afternoon and early evening, from 1:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.

CNMC advises all those interested in receiving a flu shot to wear short sleeves on the day to allow for expedited access to the arm and to call the clinic at 308-872-2486 ahead of time so that the medical staff can prepare the proper paperwork and vaccine.

It is the patient’s responsibility, the clinic says, to know whether or not insurance covers the shot; the self-pay cost for the shot is $74. Those who are feeling under the weather the day of should call to reschedule.

Potential patients can call Central Nebraska Medical Clinic directly at 308-872-2486 to reserve their place on any of the three days.
