Help keep Broken Bow beautiful by doing some spring cleaning today, May 16, 2026, as Broken Bow hosts a city-wide clean up.
8 a.m. to 3 p.m., there will be a free collection site between Tomahawk Park and Paul Brown Field. They collect brick, lawn mowers, old bicycles, miscellaneous metal, automotive batteries, appliances without freon, and more. Items like tires, paint, motor oil, lawn and garden chemicals, or household waste and chemicals will not be allowed. Anything in liquid form is also prohibited.
The City of Broken Bow Tree Dump will also be open for free on May 16 and May 23. They will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. They will accept trees and tree branches, wood pallets, untreated lumber, unpainted lumber, grass clippings, leaves and yard waste, garden waste, flowers and bushes, and concrete. Concrete with rebar or wire mesh will not be accepted.
Recycling trailers are located year-round at the corner of South 10th Avenue and South B Street and the Grocery Kart.
The city of Broken Bow encourages citizens to take advantage of this clean up day to avoid violations and maintain compliance at no charge.
