BROKEN BOW – The City of Broken Bow has released a statement extending the snow emergency that was initially issued on January 18.

According to the city, the snow emergency will now expire at 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, January 29.

Parking is prohibited along designated snow routes, the release reads, going on to say that “citizens are encouraged to limit travel during the emergency,” and that “residents are further reminded that snowplows may cause snow to be thrown onto sidewalks and driveways,” recommending that residents wait until after the snow removal process to clear driveways.

The designated snow routes are as follows:

9th Avenue from North N Street south to Memorial Drive
10th Avenue from North B Street north to North K Street
5th Avenue from South N Street to Memorial Drive
Memorial Drive from east city limits to west city limits

The City of Broken Bow thanks residents for their cooperation and insists it will make every effort possible to expedite the snow removal process. A full copy of the release is attached.
