City Council to consider Tumbleweed Cafe liquor license, cell phone tower permit

Broken Bow City Council will meet tonight (August 13) at the Broken Bow Municipal Building on South 10th Avenue starting at 6 PM.

After consideration of the annual audit report for the year ending September 30, 2023, council will discuss both license applications and conditional use permits.

Council will hold a public hearing before considering approval of a retail class I liquor license for Carmen Bumgarner of Carmens Inc, DBA Tumbleweed Cafe on South E Street in Broken Bow.

Discussions will continue regarding the potential construction of a cell phone tower at 44100 Memorial Drive through a  public hearing, followed by the possibility of a decision.

A second conditional use permit hearing and consideration appears on Tuesday nights agenda, which would allow auction services in a residential district at 625 North B Street.

Broken Bow City Council will also consider authorizing the signature for the Municipal Annual Certification of Program Compliance to the Nebraska Board of Public Roads Classifications and Standards for 2024.

A date for the budget workshop will also be set, with council choosing from a span between Monday August 26 and Friday August 30.
