BROKEN BOW – The Broken Bow City Council will hold its first meeting of the month on Tuesday, July 11 at 6 p.m. in the Municipal Building Auditorium.
In what should be a busy evening, the council will hear from the Super Kids Club regarding a community-wide invitation to an event, and from Terry Glaze about an idea for placing 2 24-inch bronze plaques honoring WWII pilots somewhere in the city.
The council will also open a public hearing on Resolution 2023-5, which deals with the CEDC’s TIF application for the ongoing Eagle Crest Subdivision project and hopes to recognize a portion of the project site as blighted in order to obtain TIF funding. The city council will also have the consideration of approving the measure.
Additionally, the council will open a hearing on Resolution 2023-6, which would approve an amendment to the city’s redevelopment plan for the Prairieland Addition Redevelopment Project. The council will consider approving that measure, as well.
Appointments to the Board of Public Works and to the position of City Treasurer will be considered, and the Annual Housing Authority Report will be presented.
The meeting will conclude with council and mayoral comments. As always, the meeting is open to the public; a full agenda is attached.
