City Council Agenda: December 13

BROKEN BOW – The Broken Bow City Council will meet at the Municipal Building on Tuesday, December 13 at 6 p.m.

The council will have consideration of approving the consent agenda, the November treasurer’s report, and the minutes from the November 22 meeting.

A plaque will be presented to outgoing councilman Larry Miller of the West Ward, and the city attorney will administer oaths of office to incoming elected officials, including Mayor Sonnichsen, David Schmidt of the East Ward, and Paul Holland, newly-elected to represent the West Ward.

In new business, the council will have consideration of nominating and electing a council president and appointing a JEO Consulting Group as the city engineer for 2023.

Additionally, the council will have consideration of appointing Stuart Fox to the Community Redevelopment Authority (CRA) with a term ending in February of 2027. The council will also consider canceling the second December council meeting, which was scheduled for December 27.

Council will also have consideration of approving Resolution 2022-20, which would approve the regular posted bills that would have been paid on the December 27 meeting, as well as consider approving a partnership between the City of Broken Bow and the CEDC to submit an application for $1 million in funding from the Nebraska Department of Economic Development Rural Workforce Housing Land Development Program.
