CEDC’s Ellis to retire, Ross named new Director

Custer Economic Development Corporation has announced the retirement of Director Keith Ellis.

Ellis, a native of Custer County and a 1974 Broken Bow graduate, had been with the CEDC since August of 2021. Previously, his career included stops as the CEO of the Scottsbluff/Gering Chamber of Commerce and as Director of Community and Economic Development for Twin Cities Development in Scottsbluff. Ellis also worked for Nebraska Public Power District as an economic development consultant and a retail customer team leader.

A CEDC release stated that Ellis has expressed his desire to put his talents to a different use, before applauding his philanthropic plans.

In the same release, Scotti Ross was named as the new Director. Ross had been serving as Housing and Projects Coordinator.
