In a press release from the CEDC, a statement was released about McDonald’s closing and the impact it will have on the Custer County Community
The community has certainly been hit hard by the reality of one of its businesses announcing that it will be closing on October 31st. McDonald’s has been a “steady fixture” in the business community for a long time.
The CEDC is continuing to work on housing, recruitment, and retaining of the workforce.
What’s most important is that the community rallies around the businesses that are still investing their livelihoods into this community. Give local businesses the chance to serve you by possibly ordering the product so you can honestly say “I support my local businesses”. Stay in town and show your support for those that invest in the area.
The closing of McDonald’s cannot define the community and our future. What defines our future is our attitude and our resilience to overcome adversity.
