Custer County Sheriff’s Office to Conduct Active Shooter Training at Custer School

BROKEN BOW – The Custer County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) has released a statement making the public aware that this Sunday, October 30, the Sheriff’s Office will be conducting training at the Custer Elementary School in conjunction with the Central Nebraska Special Response Team.

The training will take place between 10 a.m. and mid-afternoon. The Sheriff’s Office would like to assure the public that the training is no cause for alarm; in fact, community members are invited to view the training and ask questions. The focus of the training, according to the office, will be reacting to an active shooter incident.

All care from cooperating departments will be taken not to impede traffic and adjacent roads.
