CALLAWAY – Callaway’s ‘Old Fashioned Christmas’ will feature various locations and events around Callaway this Wednesday to help get those throughout Custer County into the holiday spirit.
The event starts at 4 p.m. on the 7th and will move between the Callaway Community Center, the mini-park adjacent to the library, the Fire Hall, and a variety of businesses in downtown Callaway.
The community center will be hosting a craft fair starting at 4 p.m. and a soup supper sponsored by the Sons of the American Legion beginning at 5 p.m. Both events will last until the end of the celebration, at 8 p.m.
The mini-park will be the landing pad for Santa Claus, who will stick around from 4:30 p.m. until nightfall. The FCCLA will sponsor activities within the library throughout the evening, and s’mores will be served at the fire pit at the park, weather permitting. Wagon rides are also in the cards.
From 6 p.m. until 8, the Fire Hall will offer fire truck rides and hot chocolate for anyone interested.
Stores around Callaway will be offering sales, promotions, apple cider, hot chocolate, and all manner of Christmas cheer for the entirety of the evening. A full outline of the evening is attached.
