CALLAWAY- This Friday, April 5, is the deadline for submitting nominations for the Callaway Chamber of Commerce’s search for their Citizen of the Year designation.
The nomination form states that the award is presented to an individual or group in the Callaway area who has made an extraordinary contribution to the welfare and progress of the community during the past year.
The main part of the nomination form asks the following: “In 500 words or less, tell us how this person or organization has positively impacted the community and made the Callaway area a better place to live and work through his or her efforts. Letters of support may be submitted with your nomination.”
Submissions in a sealed envelope are asked to be returned to First Interstate Bank in Callaway. They can also be mailed to the Callaway Chamber of Commerce, PO Box 272, Callaway, NE 68825.
The winner will be revealed at the chamber’s annual potluck supper on April 28.
