On July 15, road construction will begin at Calamus Reservoir State Recreation Area and will continue into the spring.
During this time of construction, visitor access will be limited and phased. Certain campgrounds will be closed as the area will be maintained with flaggers, pilot cars, and traffic signals. Starting July 15, Valley View Flat Campground and parts of Little York Point will be closed.
This project will improve campground roadways and campsites, boat ramp parking areas, South Lake Road, Calamus State Fish Hatchery, and Virginia Smith Dam.
