BROKEN BOW–The community is once again joining together to help a family in need. This Thursday, July 7 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Custer Federal State Bank and Grocery Kart are lending a “Helping Hand for the Hilkemeiers.”
Tom Hilkemeier was diagnosed with an advanced stage of breast cancer in February 2022. Tom and Donna have been burdened with additional expenses at this time and could use the help of their friends and neighbors.
Proceeds will help the family cover some of the costs associated with doctor visits in Kearney, chemotherapy every other week, upcoming daily radiation trips in Kearney, medicine, and lodging. Any help during this difficult time is greatly appreciated.
Burgers, chips, and drinks will be served on Thursday evening at the Grocery Kart in Broken Bow (937 East S East St, Broken Bow).
