HOLDREGE –The Broken Bow varsity quiz bowl team has put together a run of 2 stellar performances in the past few weeks.
The 10-student team, consisting of Sara Lindstrom, Lauren Svoboda, Caslyn Schmidt, Micah Brooks, Daniel Flint, Asher Jensen, Ali Morris, Justin Johnson, and Dane Sidel, has traveled nearly 150 miles for the two competitions and has certainly made the journey worth it.
On Thursday, March 23, the team traveled to Kearney for the ESU competition, placing 4th out of 29 teams in the ESU 10 region; this was followed by a 2nd place prize at the Southwest Conference quiz bowl contest in Holdrege on Wednesday, April 12.
All ten members competed in both competitions.
