BROKEN BOW – The Broken Bow Optimist Club has announced their Youth of the Month for the past month: Lainey Palmer and Roman Schmidt are the Broken Bow seniors nominated for their outstanding leadership and optimism.
Lainey Palmer, president of Broken Bow’s FBLA chapter, was nominated by Chris Smith, who cited Palmer’s tireless work ethic and unwavering dedication to all activities in which she’s involved.
“Be it working on the family ranch,” Smith said, “fundraising for or participating in FBLA, or striving to become a better golfer, when Lainey’s focused on doing something, it will be done to the best of her ability every time.”
Roman Schmidt was nominated by Tania Krietman, who praised Schmidt’s dedication to his work and community. “Roman has worked for me at the Fox Theater since April,” Kreitman said, “And has proven to be a dependable, hard-working employee. He provides excellent customer service and always has a smile on his face.”
In addition to his professional performance, Schmidt is a member of the National Honor Society and is an ever-present lifeboat for fellow students with unanswered academic questions.
Each Youth of the Month is a Broken Bow High School senior nominated by a community member for their outstanding leadership and optimism. A nomination form for the Youth of the Month can be found here.
