Broken Bow Library Invites Community to Explore New StoryWalk at Ribbon Cutting

The Broken Bow Public Library will officially open its latest program on Wednesday afternoon, October 15 at 4:30 PM. However, the opening will take place in a little different environment than a library book would normally be found in.

On Wednesday Afternoon, the Broken Bow Library will be hosting a ribbon-cutting for its StoryWalk at Melham Park.

A StoryWalk is a book that has been taken apart and presented page by page around a path to promote reading, exercise, and family time. Walking along the path, readers will find 25 posts, each displaying a page of the story. Participants are invited to stroll along the route, take their time, ask questions, and enjoy the story and nature.

The Broken Bow StoryWalk was created through a partnership between the city of Broken Bow, the Broken Bow Street/Parks Departments, the Broken Bow Public Library, and local donors.

While library staff plan to change the book presented in the StoryWalk every month, according to Broken Bow Library Director Megan Svoboda the first story is a surprise that will be revealed at the ribbon-cutting.

The public is invited to attend the StoryWalk ribbon-cutting. The walk will start Wednesday at 4:30 in the Melham Pond Parking Lot on Laurel Drive.

The Broken Bow Library thanks the following for their support of the StoryWalk project:
