Broken Bow Homecoming Week

It’s Homecoming Week for Broken Bow High School and if you have been around town, you’ve probably noticed that windows on local businesses are decorated for the festivities.

Prior to decorating the windows, students sought permission to decorate the local businesses. If Broken Bow wins the Homecoming football game, the businesses are responsible for cleaning the windows and doors. If Broken Bow loses, the students will clean the windows and doors.

A community homecoming pep rally is on tap for this Friday, September 8th. The parade will start in front of the Broken Bow Middle School around 12:50 p.m. and proceed to downtown Broken Bow. A flatbed trailer will be set up for the pep rally stage on North C Street between North 8th and North 7th, and the public is invited to join the students around 1:05. The theme this year is “Super Hero”. The pep rally is a joint effort of the Broken Bow Public Schools and the Broken Bow Chamber of Commerce.

The Broken Bow Indians football team will play their Homecoming game against McCook at 7 p.m. on Friday at Mark Russell Field.
