Broken Bow’s newest grocer has a new location. El Nopalito Multicultural Grocery Store hosted an open house Monday afternoon, June 29 to celebrate their move to their new store at 933 South E Street.
The former Ollies Coffee and Boutiques location now holds aisles of food from near and far ready to both provide a taste of home for some local residents, and an opportunity for others to expand their palates. Store space has expanded from 1700 to around 2000 square feet, with space to reorganize based on lessons learned from their prior location.

Store owners Keila and Sergio Gomez are excited about the opportunity to expand their store space, and the products they have on offer.
“We will be doing a lot of like grab and go items as well as tres leches cakes – it’s basically a three-milk cake, has three different kinds of milk, and also aguas frescas, which is fresh water that we’re gonna be making three flavors daily,” said Keila.
Large drinks will be $6.50; medium drinks will run $5.50. The expansion also allows El Nopalito to carry a wider variety of fresh produce and groceries.

Keila told KCNI/KBBN that they were also bringing in more items not just for the large local Guatemalan population, but for a variety of other groups as well.
“Eventually we we will be bringing in more things from other cultures that way we can be more inclusive,” Keila explained.
Store hours at El Nopalito Grocery are Monday – Saturday from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM, closed Sunday. More information, including announcements of fresh pan dulce can be found on the store’s Facebook page.
