Broken Bow Fire Department responds to house fire in Broken Bow Wednesday

BROKEN BOW – The Broken Bow Fire Department responded to a house fire at around 4 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon.

Four trucks, two ambulances, a Utility Department vehicle, and a County Emergency Management vehicle appeared to extinguish a blaze on Council Street in Broken Bow.

When KCNI/KBBN arrived at the fire, the department was running hoses in the front of the house, and arranging for ventilation fans to circulate air around the rear. At 4:45 p.m., the fire appeared to be mostly contained as firefighters were cutting into the roof’s insulation to ensure it had spread no further; smoke continued to billow out of the house as ventilation increased.

As of this writing, no injuries have been reported, and a cause has yet to be determined.
