Broken Bow Fire Department Handles House Fire Early Tuesday Morning

BROKEN BOW – The Broken Bow Fire Department was paged to a two-story house fire at roughly 12:45 a.m. on the morning of November 29 on Memorial Drive. The home’s residents alerted the department of the fire, as they were home at the time, and Broken Bow Fire brought the blaze under control in about 30 minutes.

Four trucks and 20 firefighters showed up to help contain the blaze, though the structure wound up suffering extensive damage to the back porch, and heavy smoke damage to both the main floor and second story.

The fire is currently under investigation by the Nebraska State Fire Marshall’s Office; Broken Bow Fire was assisted by the Broken Bow Ambulance and Police Departments, Broken Bow Utilities, Blackhills Energy, the State Fire Marshall’s Office, and the Nebraska State Patrol.
