Broken Bow Lodge 1688 was able to use discretionary funds from the Beacon Grant to support two local non-profit organizations. With drought conditions so prevalent in the area, $800.00 was given to local rural Fire Departments. That money was administered through the Custer County Foundation.

The Salvation Army in Broken Bow Nebraska was gifted with $500.00 from the Beacon Grant, to be used for grocery gift cards for emergency use in our Lodge area. The Salvation Army was chosen for its tireless work with disadvantaged families in these trying times.
