BROKEN BOW, NE – Spring has arrived, and in an effort to help keep Broken Bow beautiful, a city wide clean up is being held Saturday (May 11) with free services available for citizens.
The City of Broken Bow tree dump will be open for free on both Saturday the 11th and Saturday the 18th. Hours both days will be 8:30 am to Noon and 1:00 pm to 5:30 pm.

Materials accepted by the tree dump include trees, tree branches, wood pallets, untreated and unpainted lumber, grass clippings, leaves, yard waste, garden waste, flowers and bushes, and clean concrete with no rebar or wire mesh.
In the area between Tomahawk Park and Paul Brown Field a collection site will be available on May 11 for items such as brick, lawn mowers, old bicycles, miscellaneous metal, automotive batteries, and appliances without Freon. No tires, paint, motor oil, lawn and garden chemicals, or household waste and chemical swill be accepted.
Citizens of Broken Bow are also being reminded of the year-round recycling trailers located at the corner of South 10th Avenue and South B street as well as the Grocery Kart.
