Broken Bow City Council to meet Tuesday night

Broken Bow City Council will meet tonight starting at 6 PM at the Broken Bow Municipal Building on South 10th Avenue.

Outgoing councilmembers Luke Wassom and Chris Myers are scheduled to be presented with plaques following their service on council. Immediately following, City Attorney Jason White will administer oaths to Travis Kleeb and Joe Wamsley, the new west ward and east ward councilmembers respectively.

In new business, a new Council President will be nominated and voted on, followed by continued discussion and possible approval of increases to water and sewer rates. Two previous readings have not been waived, with a final reading of the potential ordinances on the agenda for tonight in addition to public hearings and possible approvals.

New business will conclude with council considering approval of the purchase of real property, to include a purchase agreement with the State of Nebraska for the Armory building in Broken Bow as well as further actions.
