Broken Bow City Council to Hold Annual Budget Hearing Tuesday

BROKEN BOW – The Broken Bow City Council will convene for its regular meeting on Tuesday, September 13 at the Municipal Building, though not at its regularly scheduled time.

The meeting will start at 5 p.m. on Tuesday to allot the necessary time and discussion of the city’s annual budget; the normal meeting will be called to order immediately following the budget hearing.

The council will have consideration of approving the consent agenda, which includes the familiar minutes of the meeting prior and the bills as posted, and the new: the approval of Broken Bow’s volunteer ambulance service roster.

In new business, the council will hold a public hearing regarding Ordinance 1262, which relates to the 2022 and 2023 Annual Appropriation Bill. It will also consider that ordinance’s approval. Additionally, the council will hold public hearings on and consider approvals of Ordinances 1263 and 1264, which are the 2022 through 2023 wage ordinance and the Well Head Protection Plan for the City of Broken Bow, respectively.

The council will also consider opening a public hearing regarding Resolutions 2022-11, which is an approval of an additional 1% increase to restricted funds. Resolutions 2022-12 through 2022-14 will be considered for approval; Resolution 12 sets the final property tax request for the upcoming fiscal year, Resolution 13 pertains to the Handi Bus Drug and Alcohol Testing Policy, and Resolution 14 deals with the sale of surplus property.

The meeting is, as always, open to the public, and a full agenda can be found here.
