Broken Bow City Council Agenda: April 25

BROKEN BOW – The Broken Bow City Council will hold its end-of-month meeting on Tuesday, April 25 at 6 p.m. in the Municipal Building Auditorium.

In addition to reviewing and approving the consent agenda, the council will congratulate Officers Paul Cunningham and Christopher Shelby, and hear a public update from Fire Chief Dustin Watson.

In old business, the council will consider accepting a bid to replace the roof of the Municipal Building.

In new business, the council will consider approving the annual audit report for the year ending September 30, 2022, and evaluate the final design plans for the Mud Creek Left Bank Levee Restoration Project, as well as consider approving to continue coordination with BNSF.

A public hearing will be held regarding Resolution 2023-4, which would authorize the city to participate as the governmental entity for a Creative District Grant, and voting to approve the resolution will take place as well.

Ordinance 1268, which would amend the 2022-2023 Wage Ordinance will have a public hearing, and the council will consider approving the measure.

Finally, the city council will consider accepting the resignation of Councilmember David Schmidt and the approval of Schmidt’s City Administrator contract. The council will then declare a vacancy for the East Ward for a term effective April 27 through December 31, 2026. A full agenda is attached.
