A crowd well into the 300s attended the Broken Bow Chamber of Commerce banquet on Saturday night at the One Box Convention Center. The Chamber holds the banquet annually to recognize anniversary milestones, present special awards, and raise funds for upcoming Chamber calendar items. This year’s theme was a horse race inspired “Off to the Races”.
Special awards were presented to the following businesses and individuals (Pictured at the end of this story)

Attendees to the banquet could put names into the drawing for a $5 donation each. To attempt to avoid participating, scratch tickets that might reveal a right to do so could also be purchased.
Participants in the entertaining race were:
– Mike Hunsberger (M&M Electric)
– Justin Thompson (American Family Insurance)
– Steve Fowler (Grocery Kart)
– Jack Simpson (KCNI/KBBN Radio)
– Kristy Wells (KCNI/KBBN Radio)
