BROKEN BOW – Burlington Northern has temporarily closed the railroad crossing by the Custer County Fairgrounds.
According to a statement from the railroad, the crossing will remain closed for an estimated 2 days for unspecified construction work. Work began near the fairgrounds at 8 a.m. Tuesday morning, which would mean the crossing would open up by Thursday.
The closure comes just ahead of the main events of the Custer County Fair, which get underway tomorrow.
