BBPS Open House Scheduled for Tuesday & School Board Meeting on Monday

BROKEN BOW – With the academic year just a short step down the calendar, Broken Bow Public Schools are throwing open the doors before first bell.

August 16 marks the back-to-school open house for Broken Bow, and an opportunity for overachievers, teacher’s pets, and lunch-is-my-favorite-classers to get a jump start on what’s in store for the 2022-23 school year.

The open house covers all schools: New Discoveries Preschool, North Park, and the Middle and High Schools. Sixth-grade orientation and a tour of the school will get underway at 5 p.m., followed by a 5:30 orientation and tour for new students and their families; both events will start at the middle school auditorium.

For those looking to avoid the hassle and rush of putting together the annual paperwork, school offices will be open starting at noon on Tuesday to help parents file and fee.

Computer and activity passes will also be available for purchase during the open house; all students between 7th and 12th grades must purchase a student activity pass if they hope to be involved in extracurricular activities for the year.

And of course, the open house promises free hot dogs and chips for all those with “perfect attendance.”

On Monday, August 15 the Broken Bow School Board will meet at 7:30 p.m. Click here for the agenda.
