Arnold Fall Festival This Friday Night and Saturday

The 2023 Arnold Fall Festival begins this Friday night and continues through Saturday. The theme for this year’s festival is “Woodstock”.  Things get started at 7:00 Friday evening with the kickoff of the the much-anticipated South Loup vs Sandhills/Thedford football game. Before the game, school appropriate vendors will be available to the public and a Fall Festival fundraiser dunk tank will be on the grounds. Rumor has it Brad Atkins and Dave Birnie could get soaked!

Saturday parade participants are asked to line up at 10:30 a.m. at the Arnold Methodist Church with judging for the best decorated float and best dressed hippie at 10:45. The parade starts at 11:00 and will circle the Arnold City Park.

Following the parade, a free lunch will be held curiosity of Arnold School Principal Joel Morgan.  The reminder of the day is dedicated to family fun as a rock wall, bounce house, petting zoo, putt-putt golf, face painting, and sidewalk chalk art will all be available for the kids. Other events on Saturday include Cow Pie Bingo and a Talent Show at noon, Dunk Yo Teacher from 12:30-2:00 that afternoon, Blinded Driver Golf Cart Races at 2:00, and Redneck Olympics. Teams of four who are 14 years or older are encouraged to compete for bragging rights in the Budda Belly Balloon relay, Double D Sling Shot Toss, Water Bucket Relay and Hula Hoop contests.

The organizers of the Arnold Fall Festival have set a simple goal–a weekend of family fun with everyone from everywhere invited to take part. For more information find Facebook @Arnold Fall Festival.
